The following topics will be addressed.
1. The concepts of psychometrics and psychometric properties of a measurement tool.
2. The utility of a measurement tool.
3. The definition and taxonomy of psychometric properties.
4. How to examine major psychometric properties of a measurement tool, including study design, data analysis, and results interpretation.
5. The appraisal of commonly used measurement tools. |

The following goals are expected.
1. The students would understand the concepts of psychometrics and psychometric properties.
2. The students would know the utility of a measurement tool.
3. The students would know definition, taxonomy, and controversy of psychometric properties.
4. The students would understand how to design a study to examine psychometric properties of a measurement tool, as well as analyze and interpret the data.
5. The students would know how to appraise a study examining psychometric properties of a measurement tool. |
